“Two days training programme on Vetiver and other important Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) for Quality Planting Material (QPM) / seed production and its cultivation and processing for farmers and forest officer” organized by CIMAP, Lucknow at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on 22nd & 23rd April, 2019. The training inaugurated by the Director, Agriculture BHU, Director, Institute of Sciences, BHU, PCCF, Planning, Lucknow, PCCF, Mirzapur and representative of CIMAP, Lucknow & NMPB, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi. Dr. Jeetendra Kumar Vaishya, Research Officer (Medicinal Plants/ Agronomy), NMPB has delivered lecture on Schemes & activities of NMPB. Lectures highlighting the Namami Ganga activates, importance of Medicinal plants, Market linkage (e-Charak), and also discussed component wise like Herbal gardens (concept of Herbal village), QPM & Nursery etc. About 50 Farmers, 35 Forest officials and students of CIMAP has participated in this training. This training was very much fruitful for farmers and other beneficiaries.
